WALNUT
KNOB HUNT GUIDELINES
The following are the guidelines that we follow
here at the knob. Please take a moment to read these if you are coming
to hunt with us.
1. Account balance must be paid
before hunt can begin.
2. Permits and license must be purchased
through the Illinois DNR, both the permit and license are purchased seperately
from the DNR. Walnut Knob does not sell the permits or licenses. Copies
of your permit and license must be on file at our office before hunt can
begin.
3. Maps of ground that you will
be hunting will be handed out upon arrival.
4. A minimum score of 135 net (Pope
& Young) will be enforced. Failure to follow this guideline may result
in a $500 fine and/or loss of hunting privileges.
5. Tour of ground, to be hunted,
and help with stand placement will be given as needed. Minimal traffic
on ground will be to your advantage.
6. All hunters are encouraged to
bring their own stand sets, but if needed we do have lock-on and ladder
stands available, many already set.
7. No hunter will knowingly cross
any property lines off of Walnut Knob managed ground without the accompaniment
of a Walnut Knob guide and permission from the neighboring Land Owner
or manager.
8 . When a deer has been wounded/killed,
do not immediately track. Contact us. We will help you track and remove
your deer.
9 . Parking/entry areas to hunting
ground will be marked on your maps.
10 . Our goal is to provide the
opportunity for an enjoyable, successful, and safe hunt. It is our hope
that by doing this, you wish to return year after year. We ask that you
be respectful of our ground and facilities.
11. If you would like to book a
hunt for spring turkey or next deer season, please stop by the office
and talk to Julie or Dave.
As always, if you have any questions,
feel free to contact anyone on the Walnut Knob staff and they would be
happy to help you.
